Β The Route
AΒ leisurely two day excursion out the back of the Dandenong ranges, starting and finishing at Metro train stations and camping in the Kirth Kiln Regional Park.
- Day one: 35km
- Day two: 50km
Predominantly we will be on back roads with the occasional paths and main roads. Surfaces range from good tarmac through to dirt roads and paths with occasional steep grades. Hybrid or Cross bikes with at least 28mm tyres would be recommended as a minimum.

Logistics:
Meet: Belgrave Train Station (southern carpark) Saturday 12th March
Return: Lilydale Station mid afternoon Sunday 13th March
We will be stopping in Emerald for lunch Saturday and again in Gembrook mid-afternoon Saturday for anyone wanting to purchase dinner goods and maybe a few beers for later on! From Gembrook it’s a leisurely cruise into Kirth Kiln regional park.
There will be provisions for morning tea and lunch along the Warburton trail on Sunday.
We will be staying together as a group so self navigation is not expected however I will print cue sheets for everyone on the day.
