We’re very excited to welcome Bombtrack bicycles to the Commuter range.
We’re pretty excited to introduce the updated Surly Disc Trucker. Here’s some details and our take on them, and why it might be a great option for your new ride!

We certainly can’t wait to see his photos. Both Dan and Todd have completed the Hunt 1000 too, so if you’re thinking about having a crack this…

Adam recently made the journey to Kona Bikes HQ in Bellingham, Washington to check out what’s new at their 2020 model range launch. It’s looking like another season of awesome bikes from Kona, with some smart updates to bikes we loved in 2019.
A new addition to the adventure bike market, Hunt bikes from Canberra have put a new spin on the MTB tourer. This bike comes very capable, designed for long days in the saddle on rough terrain, it is essentially a bikepacking specific mountain bike!
Since it’s inception the Surly Troll has been a favorite among World tourers and mountain bikers alike. The 26 inch wheels and an infinite possibility of set ups make it a very popular choice for a utilitarian bicycle. The more recent addition of the Ogre to the Surly line up of off road touring bikes have given 29ers a spotlight. Currently we’ve got good stock of frames and bikes so call in to see what we can do for you.
Jan 2015 Update – We’ve just received stock from the second production run! Most are presold, but we have a few left in sizes 52cm, 56cm, (maybe a 58cm) and a 60cm. With the deteriorating Australian dollar vs the USD the price for the frameset is now $950. This is all the stock we could get for Australia so be quick if you want one.
The roller door at 14 Prentice Street went up officially for the first time at 7.30am on Monday 21st July. After a crazy six weeks of cleaning, painting, building, stocking, fabricating and spray painting bikes, the Commuter Cycles workshop and initial ‘fleet’ or courtesy bikes are now in service. Thank you to the legion of friends and family who have supported, advised and helped along the way. I truly could not have done it without you all. Drop in between 7.30am and 6.30pm weekdays to say hi, see what we do, and chat about how we might be able to help you get from A to B by bike safely, reliably and with a smile on your face.
